Eligibility
Taxpayers with annual household income of $55,000 or less, those with disabilities, and those with limited English speaking ability who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Eligible taxpayers must have an active email account, basic computer skills, and the ability to check one's return status after submission to confirm if it was accepted or rejected.

The following will be needed:
- An active email account and basic computer skills
- Information to verify identity: current non-expired photo ID (driver license, state-issued non-driver ID, passport, NYC ID, or other government issued ID)
- Personal information for the taxpayer, their spouse, and their dependents (if applicable)
- Income statements (W-2, 1099s) and other documents to support income, deductions, and any credits that will be claimed
- A copy of the taxpayer's 2025 tax return or 2025 Federal Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) if this was filed
- Ability to check one's return status after submission to confirm if it was accepted or rejected
