Dedicated to fostering a sense of community and to developing a channel of communication among student veterans and with faculty, staff, administration and community. We welcome and support veterans and recognize the contributions they have made for our nation. We are also proud of the level of diversity and academic excellence that our veterans bring to our campus. Services for Veterans include: Counseling Referral; Ombudsman for Student Veterans; Support of Student Veterans of America (NCC Chapter); Educational and leadership workshops and Programs and Services. Nassau Community College is the largest single-campus community college in the state of New York. On average Nassau Community serves 20,000 day and evening students in 70 fields of study and another 10,000 individuals participated in continuing and professional studies each year. The college offers hundreds of day, evening, weekend and online/off campus (distance ed) courses in nearly 80 fields of study; Three types of degrees (AA, AS and AAS) and other special certificate programs and more than 300 noncredit, lifelong-learning (continuing education) courses.
