Offers two certificates in accounting that are meant for individuals who want to start a career in accounting or move up in their current career. Certificates include: Basic Certificate in Accounting and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting. The Basic Certificate in Accounting program is meant for individuals considering careers in bookkeeping and accounting without committing to a four-year degree program. Students completing this certificate may be able to find positions as bookkeepers, accounting clerks, credit authorizers and clerks, brokerage clerks, and payroll clerks. This certificate program also prepares you to sit for the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) exam. The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting program appeals to students who have a bachelor’s degree in business and want to: transition from a non-accounting field into an accounting job/career or move up in their existing career, if already employed in an entry-level accounting job. The 42-credit Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting consists of 12 undergraduate courses in accounting with which you can not only explore the discipline of accounting but also gain a solid understanding of accounting principles and techniques.
