This program supports parents and caregivers of children and adolescents with behavioral healthneeds. The goal of family support is to empower parents and caregivers as informed decision-makers information, goal-planning and emotional support for parents/caregivers, parent/caregiver advocacy, service coordination, and family recreation events.in navigating complex child-serving systems. Services include but are not limited to education and in their child(ren)'s care, reduce family stress, educate families about mental health, and support them

The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County (MHATC) is committed to developing and supporting the active involvement of ordinary people (including providers, family members and recipients of mental health services) in all aspects of mental health. These include the definition of needs, the promotion of community, and the provision of services. It also supports the human and civil rights of people who use mental health services, and will educate the community on all perspectives concerning mental health and mental health disabilities. .
