Participants must be infected directly by AIDS or HIV or affected due to an infected family member who will attend camp. The youngest attending children are usually 4 years old.

Camp Viva is a one week, sleepaway camp which is part of a year-round program for children, families and individuals affected or infected with HIV/AIDS. If one member of the family is infected with AIDS or HIV, then the whole family is eligible to attend camp.
