Description

An engaging, alternative approach to providing protection for children by focusing on engaging families in informal and formal support services to meet needs and increase the family's ability to care for their children. Program addresses situations in which families are reported to child protection services for issues such as educational neglect, where the child's safety is not at risk. Provides strength-based in-home services tailored to the family's needs to address the identified problem. Supports the role of families in determining what services will benefit their children. Families work with FAR for approximately 30-90 days.
