Provides short term financial assistance for low income families who have a temporary financial setback, and need help with basic living expenses, and helps families to gain their financial stability.Apart of Temporary Assistance is homeless shelter placement referrals. DSS in Ulster County is the first point of contact for the homeless through Temporary Assistance.
