Legal assistance for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS in matters involving a minor child, such as standby guardianship, custody, school issues, social security benefits or housing issues.The project's staff attorney can give advice on HIV/AIDS-related legal issues that do not involve children, but can only accept clients when a child is involved.

LEGAL SERVICES OF CENTRAL NEW YORK
Legal Services of Central New York, Inc. (LSCNY) provides legal representation in civil cases for persons meeting economic guidelines, and involve welfare, medicaid, food stamps,landlord/tenant, public housing, utilities and related poverty law questions. LSCNY is under contract with the New York State Commission on Quality of Care to provide protection and advocacy services to disabled persons in central New York. Disability law services include the Protection and Advocacy for Individual Rights program (PAIR). Only PAIR services are available in Tompkins County (see separate program).
