Eligibility

Our programs are mostly for young people 7+, though we also host free, all ages community events. We primarily serve youth within the Hudson City School District and our immediate neighborhood in Hudson, though we do have youth from all over the county and beyond.

Application process

Applications for our programs are listed on our website. All programs require applications and families are notified of decisions and next steps in the enrollment process. Visitors are welcome but scheduling in advance is recommended as our non-program time schedules are fluid.

Kite's Nest is a center for liberatory education in Hudson, NY. It is our mission to build the collective capacity of young people to bring about personal transformation, social connection, healing, and systemic change.

We create youth-centered spaces of radical imagination and creativity, and support youth-led movements for equity and justice that transform the conditions impacting young people's lives. Our programs engage experiential education, the arts, meaningful job training, and civic action as tools for building community power.
