Provides court advocacy services to victims of domestic and teen dating violence in Family, District, and IDV Courts. Court advocacy services available in arraignment part of District Court on weekends. Assistance with petitioning for and obtaining Orders of Protection. Advocates provide clients with support, information and referrals to services offered by LIADV and outside resources. Provides referrals to staff attorney for Family Court cases. LIADV Provides free services including: 24 hr. hotline, shelter, court and precinct advocacy, counseling, legal assistance, employment services, education/training and volunteer programs to victims of domestic violence and those at risk. Educational materials, Speakers Bureau and agency brochure available.
