Description
Offers an after school social skills groups for children and young adults with high-functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome. Groups focus on enhancing communication, play skills and awareness of feelings in oneself and others. Through skilled guidance, participants learn the specific tools necessary to make friends and play cooperatively. Young adult groups focus on learning and refining the skills necessary to develop and maintain relationships including initiating friendships, increasing connectedness with others, and building self-advocacy skills. Also offers this for adult groups when they have enough participants.
