Description
Serves as registrar, licensing officer, records custodian, freedom of information administrator and the designated marriage officer, and as the town's secretary of all official minutes. Issues licenses for marriage, hunting, fishing, dog, clamming, peddlers, games of chance, bingo and taxis. Processes requests for parade permits, block parties, garage sales and going out of business sales. Acts as Registrar of Vital Statistics-responsible for recording all births and deaths in the town.
