HEAD START OF ROCKLAND

Provides half day and full day comprehensive programs for low-income children and families. These programs include education, health, nutrition, special education and family and community services. Programs also gear to aid children with disabilities that involve evaluations and inclusion classes, and pre-kindergarten classes. These children participate in a variety of educational activities which are available at different sites in Rockland County. Those who have children attending these head start programs are welcomed and encouraged to be involved in every aspect of the programs through the parent committees, volunteering in the classroom, policy council and the board.
