Offers an Impaired Driver Program for eligible motorists convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), or Driving While Alcohol Impaired (DWAI). The Department of Motor Vehicles determines eligibility for the program. For drivers convicted in New York State or with a New York state driver’s license, you must register for the program at the Department of Motor Vehicles. If you were convicted in a different state and you do not have a New York license, we can register you directly for the program. For detailed information on the program visit the DMV website.
