Nassau County residents with risk of psychiatric hospitalization. Referrals required from Psychiatric Emergency Rooms, children's mobile crisis or psychiatrist with referring privileges. Children 6-17 years old.

Provides intensive, short term, home-based services to families in order to prevent the psychiatric hospitalization of a child or adolescent. The program is devoted to working with the entire family involved in a crisis situation.

SOUTH SHORE CHILD GUIDANCE CENTER
Provides outpatient mental health services. Services include intake, psychiatric evaluation, psychological and substance abuse prevention and testing and individual family and group treatment. Multi family and single mother groups and parenting education classes. Epic Long Island and South Shore Child Guidance Center merge under the umbrella organization of Epic Family of Human Service Agencies, Inc. Each agency maintain separate 501(c)3 status and separate boards.
