Family Peer Support Services - Amherst - NDYFS

Provides family peer support services to parents and/or caregivers of youth with emotional and/or behavioral health difficulties. Services include: - Engagement, Bridging, and Transition Support - Self-Advocacy, Self-Efficacy, and Empowerment - Parent Skill Development - Community Connections and Natural Supports Services are individualized and provided in home and community settings. Services are provided by a parent professional who has lived experience in caring for a youth with special needs.

Youth with emotional or behavioral challenges, along with their families. Youth must be enrolled in Medicaid. Service Area: WNY. Niagara County Mental Health provides supplemental funding for youth in Niagara County, regardless of Medicaid coverage.
