AMERICAN HEART AND STROKE ASSOCIATION - HUDSON VALLEY REGION
Aims to increase awareness of risk factors and warning signs of cardiac arrest and stroke to the general public, thus reducing risk, disability and death through research, education, fund raising and advocacy. Also trains individuals in CPR and ensures that Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) are available to worksites, emergency personnel, and public sites. Also advocates for healthier eating habits and increased physical activity for school aged children.
