Eligibility

Developmental disability, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other neurological impairments which constitute a lifelong mental or physical impairment that becomes apparent prior to age 22 years, is expected to continue indefinitely and constitutes a substantial handicap to a person's ability to function normally in society.

NEW YORK STATE OFFICE FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is responsible for coordinating services for individuals with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, and other neurological impairments.
