Offers advocacy and assistance to people with disabilities any/all, and provides information and referral to community resources. Putnam County in coordination with NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. Supports and promotes community awareness of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Maintains a voluntary, confidential database of people with special needs for the purposes of planning for services, and evacuation/disaster preparedness.
