Self-service, 24-hour access to over 25 vehicles, including a pick-up truck and 7-passenger minivan, located in and around downtown, Fall Creek, South Hill, Collegetown, East Hill and Cornell.Works best for short-term vehicle use, e.g., errands, appointments, etc. Vehicles can be reserved online or by phone. Gas, insurance, roadside assistance and regular maintenance are included in the hourly and mileage charges.Drivers must have a valid driver's license and apply for membership.Membership options include: 2 personal plans, suited for higher or lower frequency of vehicle use. Plans for organizations and businesses. Some large employers offer personal membership as a staff benefit Cornell University and Ithaca College provide subsidies for students who join Carshare staff has information on transportation options better suited for work commuting or other regular needs.
