Assist Tompkins county residents coming out of homelessness, up to $500 to cover expenses to furnish client's apartment and related needs. Household good purchases have a minimum of $100Expenses covered include: - Utility, Phone, or Internet Bill Assistance- Home-related appliances and repairs- Supplemental goods and services such as kitchen utensils, linens, toiletries,and other necessities for successful housing Basic Household Items- Appliances (microwave, blender, toaster, teapot, coffee maker, vacuum cleaner)-Kitchenware (plates, pots, pans, utensils, mugs, cups, glasses, measuring cups, cutting board, mixing bowls)- Linens (towels, sheets, blankets, comforter, pillows)- Bathroom items (shower curtains, shelving, supply holders, bathmat, plunger)- Cleaning Supplies (Cleaning spray, bleach, laundry detergent, floor cleaner, broom, mop, paper towels, sponges, trash bags)- Wifi routerBasic Needs Items Laundry Cards, Pantry Stock,Trash fees, Bus passes/taxi voucher Small repairs or fees Key fob replacement/Lock-out fee, Laundry cardApplication for assistance, click HERE *must be completed by HSC staff person, phone or in person
