Eligibility

Children and Youth (under age 21) who are covered by Medicaid and have mental health and/or substance use needs can get Children and Family Treatment and Support Services at no additional cost. These services are covered by regular Medicaid or, if enrolled in a Medicaid Managed Care plan*, these services are available through the health plan.

Broome County, New York
Provides support for children under 21 and their families to address mental health needs early and keep children safely at home and in the community. Services include therapy, psycho-social rehabilitation, and peer support for both youth and families. Support can be provided at home, school, or in the community, helping to prevent hospital stays or out-of-home placements. Children and youth must be on Medicaid to participate, and referrals can be made by parents, caregivers, teachers, or service providers.
