By tuning radios to the County Resident Information Station at 1640 AM, you can receive continuous information on the status of an emergency and instructions on any protective measures that may need to be taken to ensure the safety of the public. The mission of the Rockland County Office of Fire and Emergency Services is to provide the support and training necessary to the Rockland County Fire Service and all Emergency Responders so that they may provides citizens with the finest available emergency services. We also coordinate all operations during emergencies such as Hurricanes, Floods, Snow Storms, Indian Point, or any other County Wide Emergency.
