Provides financial support to Westchester-based artists and cultural organizations in several categories including: Basic Program Support, Project Support, and Arts Alive which supports communit-based arts activities and the creation of new work by artists. ArtsWestchester also provides grants to artists to conduct residencies in schools, community sites, and human service agencies. To be eligible artists must apply to and be accepted onto ArtsWestchesterâs Directory of Teaching artists.

ARTSWESTCHESTER
A not-for-profit agency established in 1965 whose mission is to provide leadership, vision, and support to ensure the availability, accessibility and diversity of the arts in Westchester. ArtsWestchester provides financial support to artists and cultural organizations through competitive grants and, also serves as the primary source of information about arts and cultural activities in Westchester. It’s website, www.artswestchester.org includes a comprehensive calendar of events as well as directories of artists and cultural organizations. In 1998 a historic building (now known as the Arts Exchange) was purchase, renovated and adapted as a multi-purpose cultural resource. The Arts Exchange provides venues for exhibitions, performances, workshops, rehearsal space, cultural activities, studios for artists, and offices for not-for-profit and arts-related businesses.
