Description

Ithaca Guaranteed Income (IGI) provides $450/month for 12 months for 110 people who earn 80% Area Median Income or less and who are caregivers in the City of Ithaca. The application itself is available in English, Spanish, Karen, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.DO NOT interpret any questions on the survey itself for callers. This is a research study and the folks at UPenn were very clear that we should not be helping to clarify what a question in the survey is asking. If the caller wants to receive personalized assistance with the application, please ask them the following pre-screening questions:Are you having a technical problem, or are you having issues with the questions themselvesIF THEY ARE HAVING A TECHNICAL PROBLEM: Do you have a service provider, friend, or family member who you could call who has access to a computer/internet and could help you fill out the application Could you do the application on your cell phone If not, could you go to the libraryIF THEY ARE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH SURVEY CONTENT: Did you know that there's no right or wrong answer to any questions Could you skip that question and continue with the rest of the survey Do you have a service provider, friend, or family member who could help you fill out the application Could I put you on a list to receive follow-up from one of our Housing Specialists, who can help to answer some of your questionsIF ANY OF THE ABOVE QUESTIONS DO NOT MEET THEIR NEEDS: Would it be helpful for you to come into the office to do the application on a laptop and ask any questions to our Housing Specialists IF YES, please offer them one of the available (IN-OFFICE) time blocks in the IGI scheduling google calendar. If you find a one-hour time slot that works for them, please replace the event title with their name and phone number. IF THERE ISN'T A TIME THAT WORKS FOR THEM: If there is not an available time slot, please refer them to our walk-in first-come first-serve event at the Tompkins County Public Library from 1pm to 4pm on Wednesday, December 15th. IF NONE OF THESE OPTIONS WORK FOR THEM: Recommend a follow-up from Simone or Brett.
