Oversees purchases, expenditures, planning and preparation of the budget, intergovernmental affairs, public information and constituent services (Senior Citizen ID cards, Veteran peddler's licenses) are also the responsibility of the Administrative division, overseen by the Chief Deputy County Clerk. SUFFOLK COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE
The duties of the County Clerk's Office are mandated by the State Constitution and by the state and local law. Every deed, mortgage, lien, judgment, business certificate or incorporation, U.C.C. document, civil and criminal court records, notary public and veterans' discharges are filed or recorded with the Clerk. The County Clerk in Suffolk also serves as Clerk of both Supreme and County Court.
