Seeks to ensure that individuals who receive services from a facility or provider that is operated, licensed, or certified by one of six state agencies - Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Office of Mental Health, Office of Children and Family Services, Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, Department of Health (certain adult homes and summer camps), and the New York State Department of Education (residential schools and programs) - are protected from abuse, neglect, and mistreatment. Provides information, technical assistance, and training to support and empower individuals with disabilities of all ages, in all settings.
