GREENE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
The Greene County Department of Human Services covers three divisions: Greene County for the Aging/NY Connects, Greene County Youth Bureau, and Greene County Veterans Service Agency.
Aging services ensure a network of supportive services to assist the county's senior citizens (age 60 and older) to maintain their dignity and independence within their communities.
The Youth Bureau coordinates youth services for children and young people in Greene County, birth to 21, by providing technical assistance to municipalities, private agencies and groups in program development, evaluation, financial planning, program management and training.
Greene County Veterans Service Agency educates Veterans and their families about the benefits they have earned; represents and guides Veterans in obtaining benefits and services both through the VA and other local agencies, and makes Veterans an economic force in education, employment and business development.
