Direct support and advocacy provided by and for people with mental health concerns:-On-going individual meetings for emotional support and developing self-help and self-advocacy skills-Support in creating action plans for recovery and wellness-Advocacy in service coordination and within service systems-Information about additional community supports-Peer-led support groups and activity groups-Drop-in peer support and social hours in our space Wednesdays & Thursdays, 12pm-3pm

The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County (MHATC) is committed to developing and supporting the active involvement of ordinary people (including providers, family members and recipients of mental health services) in all aspects of mental health. These include the definition of needs, the promotion of community, and the provision of services. It also supports the human and civil rights of people who use mental health services, and will educate the community on all perspectives concerning mental health and mental health disabilities. .
