Offers an alternative to incarceration for youth who are at risk at entering the criminal justice system as offenders. At risk youth are given an idea of what it is really like to be locked up. The program also includes topics of self worth, peer pressures, drug abuse, group association, impulsive behavior and the benefits of patience and perseverance. The goal is of deterring youth from entering the criminal justice system.

Providing organization

WESTCHESTER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION
Provides secure custody and health care of inmates and tries to increase the potential for inmates to assume a productive role in society. The custodial center is composed of a penitentiary, a jail and a women's correctional unit. Also makes available, to crime victims as well as all other New Yorkers, information about convicted felony offenders in the custody of Westchester County Corrections and the NYS prison system.
