The Downtown Visitor Center is operated by Visit Ithaca, a division of the Tompkins Chamber. Visit Ithaca is charged with promoting Ithaca & Tompkins County as a vacation destination to consumers, media, content creators, meeting, conference & athletic event planners.Open year round, six days a week. Our team is ready to answer your downtown restaurant, lodging and event questions. FREE maps are available. Also take in the Ithaca is Gorges retail offerings and visitor information about all twelve Tompkins Center for History and Culture partner organizations.The Downtown Visitor Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The Convention and Visitors Bureau is the designated tourism promotion agency for the city of Ithaca and Tompkins County. The Bureau operates a full service Visitors Center that is open year-round Monday through Friday, and Saturdays and Sundays from May through November, with voice mail in the evenings. Also offered is full conference planning for associations and large groups as well as itinerary planning and tour arrangements for motorcoach groups. The Convention and Visitors Bureau is located in the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce Building.
