Free, confidential, individual counseling and educational community presentations to consumers, small businesses, advocates and providers services to Tompkins County residents and small businesses.INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE, based on individual's or family's circumstances, can help with: information on health coverage, finding affordable or subsidized health coverage and enrolling/renewing/switching coverage and health plans accessing medical services, selecting a primary care provider (PCP), obtaining referrals for specialists and requesting out-of-network providers locating financial assistance or charity care to help pay medical bills navigating authorization/denials of coverage, medical services, re-certification and exemptions negotiating claim disputes, fair hearings, complaints, appeals resolving billing issues explaining COBRA continuation health coverageCOMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS and TRAININGSFree sessions to raise awareness of health care issues and educate New York residents about their rights in the health care.
