Offers gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth, ages 13-21, the opportunity to assume leadership roles in the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth Community through event planning, implementation of programs and the organization of fundraisers. Also teaches skills needed for budgeting, diplomacy and the facilitation of ideas.

THE LGBT NETWORK (THE NETWORK)
A nonprofit association working to serve the LGBT communities of Long Island and Queens. The organization and the LGBT Network include Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY), the Long Island LGBT Community Center (The Center), Services and Advocacy for LGBT Elders-Long Island (SAGE-LI), and the Queens LGBT Community Center (Q Center). Together the organizations of the LGBT Network work together to end heterosexism, homophobia, and transphobia; provide a home and a safe space for the LGBT community and to advocate for equality.
