Files complaints and investigates reports of discrimination under federal, state and local laws in Tompkins and surrounding counties. investigates disputes and violations under local, state and federal anti-discrimination laws provides protection for community members in these areas: employment, housing, credit, public accommodation and public non-sectarian educational institutions provides public information on legal rights through forums, seminars and public resources disseminates materials on such topics as: tenant's rights, preventing sexual harassment, service animals, sexual orientation discrimination, pregnancy discrimination in the workplace, military/veteran's rights, disability discrimination, employment discrimination, age discrimination, domestic violence, sexual assault and places of public accommodation conducts legislative and educational advocacy for civil and human rights laws, affirmative action regulation and discrimination laws implements and monitors countywide workforce inclusion and diversity initiatives, equal opportunity and contract compliance
