Seniors 60 years or older who are Nassau County residents, responsible for their fuel oil bill, low income but cannot be on SSI. Fuel tank must be less than 1/4 full.

The purpose of the SAFE Program is to ensure that no senior goes without heat during the winter months by providing emergency oil deliveries. This home energy assistance program can help eligible Nassau County seniors access 100 gallons of fuel oil in an emergency. This assistance is offered only one time during a season. It helps to identify clients who need further case management or DSS assistance.
