Provides unbiased no-cost health insurance counseling to Medicare beneficiaries (generally individuals 65 and older) through trained peer volunteer counselors. Assists older adults in understanding health insurance options, financial savings and assistance programs, as well as supports enrollment into health insurance and drug plans. Speakers and educational materials available on health insurance needs and options, Medicaid and Nursing Home Care, and related issues.
