Description

Attends all Town Board meetings and is responsible for the minutes, legal notices, certifications of Town records and filing of change of zone applications. Issues all licenses such as dog, hunting, fishing and marriage. Bingo and games of chance licenses, clamming, taxicab, tow truck, peddlers, refuse, auto junkyard, commuter parking permits and disability parking permits. Acts as Registrar of Vital Statistics for the issuance of Birth and Death Certificates as Commissioner of Elections for special elections and is the Records Manager Officer. The Records Center and Archives is also under the Town Clerk. The clerk can perform civil marriage ceremonies.
