MERCY MEDICAL CENTER
Mercy Medical Center is a 375-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center which serves the residents of Nassau County with a variety of medical and surgical specialties. Among the disciplines for which Mercy is best known are: maternal and child health oncology, physical medicine and rehabilitation orthopedics, behavioral health care services and ophthalmology. Provides 24-hr emergency services, intensive care unit, cardiac care unit, drug and alcohol programs, radiology, psychiatric unit, outpatient facilities and cancer care.The medical staff consists of over 700 physicians. It is one of the five Diocesan hospitals in the Catholic Health Services of Long Island, Incorporated. It is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditations of Healthcare Organizations. Serves Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
