Description
Responsible for inspecting and testing all weighing and measuring devices used for commercial purposes in the county. Licenses and inspects all precious metals dealers in the county and registers all gasoline stations and distributors. Checks packaged commodities for weight compliance. Performs water contamination tests on all gasolines. Handles consumer complaints regarding inaccurate weighing and measuring devices, shortweight or shortmeasure purchases, and contaminated gasoline. Addresses inquires about the sale of fuel, oil, coal, firewood, or any other commodity sold by weight or measure. Call for detailed information.
