Trainers design and facilitate age-appropriate training agendas, tailored to clients' content and schedules, to encourage application of skills to real-life situations.Workshops and trainings include: mediation skill training managing conflict in the workplace peer mediation training adult conflict management workshops in-service presentations volunteer mediation training (offered as needed)Conflict management workshops for children, youth and adults help build skills for successfully managing conflict and difficult conversations.Mediation skill training focuses on conflict theory and skill development needed for mediating conflict in the workplace.In addition to specific training agendas, agendas can be customized to meet businesses' and agencies' needs. The Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) is an effective alternative for peacefully resolving everyday disputes through the use of trained mediators. The mediator does not have the power to impose a solution but is present to help disputing parties work through the problem they share and develop a lasting solution to issues concerning neighborhoods, youth, family, school, and discrimination disputes.CDRC also trains prospective volunteer mediators in conflict resolution skills.
