Provides opportunity in the Fall for children ages 4-6 to meet and learn about a different farm animal in four one-hour sessions. The children will learn about the harvest and preparing for winter on the farm. In the Spring, each child will hold and feed baby animals and grow plants for their garden.

Raises public interest and awareness in the homesteading, folklore and agricultural arts. Provides a historical perspective, from colonial times through present day. Activities include: demonstrations, workshops, farm programs, fairs, and hands on experiences, field trips to working historic farms, festivals celebrating our agricultural heritage, and publishing articles, books, and video presentations to perpetuate the crafts and folk traditions of our past.
