An interactive program that consists of 7-10 lessons taught once a week by prevention educators. It focuses on developing personal and interpersonal skills to resist pressures to use drugs and engage in negative behaviors. Skills include: goal setting, decision-making, bonding with others, identifying and managing emotions, and communicating effectively.

CANDLE's goal is to improve the climate of our schools and communities by providing substance abuse prevention for youth of all ages, prevention strategies to their adult allies, and support programs for youth at risk.
