Offers an Advanced Certificate in Bilingual School Counseling. Develop your skills and knowledge in the cultural context necessary to work with today’s ethno-linguistically diverse students and families. Our advanced certificate program consists of 15 credits of coursework. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible to take the New York State Bilingual Assessment (BEA) to receive initial NYSED certification as a Bilingual School Counselor. In this role, you’ll help bilingual students thrive within their schools, but also help their families bridge the gap between home life and the classroom. Call for more detailed information.
