Description
Offers immigrant families who are learning to speak English a chance to improve their English skills by providing a safe, supportive environment for learning. Coordinates volunteer tutors with ESL students who want to increase the duration and intensity of theirlanguage learning opportunities by providing 30 minutes a week over the phone for practice.

Provides volunteer tutor training classes for individuals and small groups in reading instruction, English as a second language, and telephone conversation partners. Other programs include volunteer readers mentoring from businesses with children in nearby schools to read aloud during children's lunch time and a computer literacy program, math tutoring, financial literacy, and conversation partners.
