Application process
Tenants can apply for free legal assistance by completing this online intake form: https://ithacatenantresources.org/tlh or by calling our hotline at 607-301-1560. Hotline volunteers will assist callers in submitting the online intake form and uploading documents on their behalf ([email protected]). Once the intake form has been submitted, tenants will be connected with a law student who works closely with a licensed attorney to provide free advice or representation. All other inquiries should be directed to [email protected].

Founded in 2020, The Cornell Law School Tenants Advocacy Program is a law school clinic where experienced attorneys, law students, and undergraduate volunteers work together year-round to provide free legal services to residential tenants in upstate New York.
