Tenants pay 30% of income towards rent. HUD provides a utility allowance to help tenants pay heat and electric.

Eligibility

Head of household must be 18 years of age or older, have a disability, and be income eligible, not exceeding very low income guideline at initial occupancy (50% for Erie County and meeting the minimum income limits). Must meet minimum and maximum income guidelines. The maximum income limits are currently based on the median income for Erie and Niagara Counties as established by HUD and are subject to change. (Tax credit sites have a minimum income unless the applicant has a voucher.) Preference/priority is given to applicants with a visual impairment, as well as to applicants who are homeless.
