Homeowners with direct damages sustained as a result of severe storms and flooding in Nassau and Suffolk Counties on August 18, 2024 and August 19, 2024. The program is being funded through the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation ("NYSHTFC") to assist homeowners with direct damages sustained as a result of severe storms and flooding in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The maximum grant available is $50,000. Income Eligibility for Long Island Storm Home Repair Program: 150% of County Area Median Income based on household size (see chart on website). Funds are limited and will be available on a first-come first-served basis until funds are exhausted.

APPLICATIONS MAY ONLY BE SUBMITTED BEGINNING AT 9 AM ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2024. THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS 5 PM ON OCTOBER 7, 2024. APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE. Once an application is submitted, applicants will be contacted by LIHP in the order of submission and will be required to submit any missing required documentation. Additional documentation may also be required. Applicants will then be reviewed for formal Program eligibility.
