Description
Psychotherapy services typically involve weekly talk therapy on a one-to-one, couple's and-or group basis, as appropriate to the needs of the individual. Emphasis is placed upon assisting individuals with developing an understanding of the effects of their neurological condition, while establishing practical management strategies and coping techniques. Treatment also entails efforts to facilitate adjustment to and acceptance of the long-term effects of such conditions upon their daily functioning at work and at home, and within their interpersonal relationships.

Provides evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation to individuals who are suffering from mild or moderate traumatic brain injury, post-concussive syndrome, neurotoxicity, stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis, anoxia, seizure disorder, brain tumor and other central nervous system disorders. The program attends not only to the cognitive impairments of these individuals, but their emotional, social, vocational and financial needs as well. The objective is to help patients regain as much of their pre-injury functioning as possible in both their daily life and employment.
