Description
Places national service members in full-time service opportunities with partnering organizations to meet the goal of community sustainability through poverty elimination. Members build the capacity of their host organizations by doing community outreach, funds development, program implementation, volunteer management, and other tasks as needed. Members make a year-long commitment to serve, in which they fully immerse themselves into their communities, holding no outside employment and not attending school. Benefits include: - Living allowance of $12,490 annually, paid bi-weekly. - Choice of $6,095 education award or stipend of $1,800 upon completion - Health coverage provided - Eligibility for child care - Life insurance if desired - Intensive training and member support
