The Youth Leaders in Action (YLA) is comprised of high school students that represent all nine school districts in Oswego County, including private schools, and home schools.

YLA works closely with the Oswego County Youth Bureau and Oswego County Prevention Coalition to develop programs that will benefit its members and the community.

The group meets once a month from September to May to address issues that influence the county. Meetings are held at CiTi BOCES during the morning session. Students will ride the bus from their school to CiTi and return back to their school for the afternoon.

YLA will sponsor speakers for young audiences, create brochures targeted at youth, and represent young people in Oswego County by advising the Oswego County Youth Bureau and other Oswego County organizations. We want to know what issues our young adults are facing, how they feel changes can be made, to get them active in their community and to get their input on programming for youth in Oswego County.
